Our Story

It was alittle over 12 years ago when I first met Patrick. Little did I know that the party I met him at could possibly be the last time I'd see him as he was graduating from Cal State Hayward the following day! Well...things worked out and we have now been married for almost 9 years! We have 3 wonderful children, a dog, a cat, and two rabbits! Life is good! Tommy is our oldest. He is 7 now and just finished up first grade. He played T-ball this year and is swimming for the Chabot Marlins for his 2nd year. Lucy just graduated from preschool and will be starting Kindergarten in the fall! She is a breath of fresh air! She is also our "animal whisperer". Its because of her (and my love for animals) why our animal family keeps expanding! Johnny is just over 18months! We should probably just call him "Trouble" as that is what he is! He is a very active little boy and no one will tell him he cannot do what his older brother or sister is doing. Patrick is still working for Kaiser as a Physical Therapist. He is such a gentle man and is wonderful at what he does! I am currently a "stay at home mom" and LOVE it! I do not see how I could work with all we have going on. I am also training for the Avon Breast Cancer 2day walk in San Francisco. I know it will be a life changing weekend! So until next time...Welcome to The Ryken Family Blog!
