On Friday, both Tommy and Lucy, and their Troops, got lead the school in the Pledge of Allegiance. They goth went to school in their uniforms. Standing up infront of the school was MAJOR for Lucy! For the first couple of months she tried getting out of school on Fridays in fear she would get called up (for doing something good) infront of the school. Once we figured out her fear we discussed it with her wonderful teacher who assured her she would never get called up (even though she is deserving of it). So this Friday..she did it! At first she wanted to be Tommy, who had no problem being up there, but then stood with her troop. It was great to see them so respectful to the Flag. A nice way to start the day, or weekend!
