So Thankful

I love this time of year! Time to reflect on your life and time to help out the community. Tommy and Lucy both got their first dose of community service by helping at Community Outreach Food Drive. We spent a few hours on Monday sorting cans for over 140 families in our area who are in need. Lucy enjoyed placing the cans where they go and Tommy enjoyed putting together the boxes of food that will be delivered. They are starting to understand ways to help people in need. They are also trying to understand why people just can't go to the bank to get more money! A concept that is hard for a child to understand, but one we will continue to discuss and we will continue to give them the experiences to truly understand. We live in a wonderful community and so many came out. It was nice to see former coworkers of mine, some teachers from the kids' school, our babysitter, and even some of Patricks cousins.

With Thanksgiving just a few days away I sit and think of all I am thankful for. I have a wonderful man in my life who I've been lucky enough to be married to for over 9 years now! Together we have 3 of the most amazing children I will ever know! They bring us so much joy and bring so much color to our lives! We are thankful for both sides of our family and to see them as often as we do. We are thankful for friends who are there for us to listen and to make us laugh! Tommy and Lucy both have AMAZING Teachers and we are thankful to them who make this world a better place by teaching! We have some pretty adorable pets who I am thankful for (not too sure about Pat though :) ). And mostly we are thankful for the wonderful life we live, the people we encounter on a daily basis, and the people who we don't see as often.

Now bring on some Holiday Cheer!! Almost time to start shopping...wrapping...and living in the holiday whirlwind for the next few weeks until xmas :)!!!
